A typical condo move goes through dozens of cardboard boxes, rolls of tape and bags of packing material. Most of it is used once, then flattened and squeezed into a recycling room that was never built for move day.
Wet or taped cardboard is often hard to recycle, and the boxes that do get collected still have to be made, shipped and processed all over again for the next move.
